Brink for a Cause!

Join us on Thursday, February 2 at Brink Brewing for Brink for a Cause!

A portion of all sales during this event go directly to the WHHS Girls Lacrosse Teams. The girls lacrosse program at Walnut Hills consists of 80 girls on Middle School, Junior Varsity and Varsity teams and plays during the spring season. Established as a varsity sport at Walnut in 2013, the program competes with the top programs in Cincinnati teaching and promoting the game of lacrosse locally. High school players give back to the program by serving as volunteer coaches for the Junior High teams as well as for the Eagles Youth programs (a non-profit girls youth lacrosse program teaching the game to players in grades K-6). Players in our program exhibit the highest level of teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship and community service - all hallmarks of Walnut Hills High School Girls Lacrosse.

All monies raised will go toward funding a portion of the annual varsity spring break trip which serves as a team bonding experience as well as an opportunity to play top-notch competition outside of the Cincinnati area. Last season the team went to Nashville, this season the team will be traveling to Washington, DC! In addition, funds help offset the cost of equipment and coach’s stipends.

Summer Club Playing Opportunities

There are numerous lacrosse clubs in the local area providing opportunities to play lacrosse all year round. Tryouts are generally at the end of the summer, but if you're interested please visit the websites below and reach out the coaching staff to inquire about open spots! Clubs generally have open spots they are looking to fill so it's definitely worth reaching out to these clubs for this summer if you haven't tried out yet. Each club's social media platforms are also good way to stay informed!

Don't forget - many of your teammates play on club teams so reach out to them with questions or reach out to Coach Katherine!
